Our Ministers

Oldfield Free Church is served by two ministers who work together to lead, teach, and care for the congregation and wider community.

Rev. Ian M. Thomas — Minister

Ian is the Minister at Oldfield Free Church, bringing over 20 years of experience in pastoral ministry. He is passionate about expository preaching; teaching the Bible systematically, book by book and verse by verse, and about making the deep truths of Scripture accessible to everyone.

Ian’s ministry focuses on preaching and teaching, church leadership, strategic vision, and discipleship development. He leads the Sunday morning and evening services, the Tuesday evening Bible study (currently working through Romans), and oversees the overall direction of the church’s life and mission.

In 2026, Ian is leading the congregation through a systematic theology series, exploring core Christian doctrines to build the church’s theological foundations as part of the “Growing Deep, Growing Strong” vision.

Ian also serves as a primary school governor and mentors newly accredited Baptist ministers.

Bible Proclaimer — Ian’s Teaching Ministry

Beyond his role at Oldfield, Ian runs BibleProclaimer.com, a website and YouTube channel offering biblical answers to life’s important questions through expository teaching and verse-by-verse Bible studies. Whether you’re exploring the Christian faith or looking to go deeper, you’ll find helpful resources there.
